More Naira dot-com Websites

I have noticed a few new naira dot-com websites since my initial blog post: The Naira Brand: Naira dot-com websites earlier this year.

Nairaparking.com

The domain parking website is owned by AIMTECH NG web hosting service, itself an enterprise of Ahmed Mukoshy. It basically offers a free platform to residents of Nigeria to sell their active domain names. The service is still in beta and spots a simple yet elegant interface. Only 18 domain names are listed for sale at the time of writing. It seems to be the only Nigerian website in the niche of domain parking. From nairaparking.com:

NairaParking.com is a Nigerian domain name parking service provider that helps Nigerians to trade domain names easily and efficiently using the Nigerian currency (Naira). We are speciallized in managing domain names and helping third parties in acquiring their domain name of choice.

Another Nigerian websites directory, nairanames.com is another enterprise of Alireta Ltd. It is a user-driven website and offers listings in 16 main categories as well as several sub-categories. Nairanames.com is a free service but requires registration. From nairanames.com:

…Naira Names, a free user-driven online directory of Nigerian brands, businesses and professionals. You can post information about your business, services and products, as well as edit it anytime, anywhere to keep it up-to-date.

Not just another naira dot-com website, this is a Nigerian job website with a difference. It indexes/shares job listings from multiple Nigerian job websites and offers some unique features like sms and email alert. Nairajobs.com is another online enterprise of Kayode Muyibi, a PHP programmer & online entrepreneur. From Nairajobs.com:

Nairajobs is a Nigerian job and career search engine that aggregates jobs for Nigerians be it overseas or in Nigeria. This jobs are gathered from various sources across the internet. This is an initiative to create a one stop station for all jobs that is related to Nigeria for Nigerians and friends of Nigeria.

From all indications, we have not seen the last of naira dot-com websites. My best wishes to them.

Do you know of any more I missed? Feel free to share them in the comments area.
