GSM, GPRS, EDGE & HSDPA could overtake ADSL soon

Satisfactory high-speed Internet access has proved elusive in SA despite promises by various wireless service providers. However, evolved 3G cellular technology will soon deliver a new era of Internet connectivity, say Leaf Wireless and Ericsson.

  1. People accustomed to wired internet connections will not be giving up their ADSL for a 3g-based connection. Wired solutions such as ADSL are much more secure, and less prone to failure. I’m not converting anytime soon!
