This event was officially launched on the 4th of April 2006 at the Victoria Park Grounds Garrison Street Freetown, by the Governor of the Sierra Leone Central Bank Dr. J D Rogers at 11:00 AM. In his statement, the governor recommended Celtel as being the leaders in the provision of quality service in Sierra Leone. He said he considers this significant development as a mile stone for the economic development of Sierra Leone. He expressed delight at being honored to launch the new product and stated that Celtel has contributed tremendously in providing employment opportunities in the country, adding that the company has now almost covered the whole country as part of their commitment in making life better for all.
