MTN Group records more than 17 million subscribers

MTN Group is pleased to announce that as of 30 June 2005 it recorded 17,039,000 capable subscribers on its six networks operated in South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Rwanda, Swaziland and Uganda. This is a growth of 8.9% since 31 March 2005, the end of the previous reporting period.
