MTN, Telkom in race for Nitel

Johannesburg – Africa’s largest mobile phone group MTN Group (MTN) and the Vodacom/Telkom (TKG) consortium are among the six telecommunications groups which have been short-listed by Nigeria’s privatisation agency for a 51% stake in fixed-line Nitel and mobile M-Tel.
