Yet another near fatality – EAS Airline Aborts flight mid-air

Yet another air crash disaster was stalled yesterday, when an EAS Airlines plane aborted a flight to Lagos from Abuja, mid-air.

According to The Punch, “Another air disaster was averted on Tuesday as an EAS aircraft on a scheduled flight from Abuja to Lagos developed engine problem mid-air.

The incident occurred less than 36 hours after a Bellview plane crash-landed in Accra, Ghana, en-route Sierra Leone.”

Well, while it would be very unfair to say that plane crashes is peculiar to Nigeria due to the gross corruption and ineptitude, I must say here that these fatalities and near-fatalities are becoming one time too many. Something drastic needs to be done, and quickly too.
