Zimbabwe NetOne in drive to reduce congestion

The network congestion currently besetting NetOne mobile phone service provider is a direct and unfortunate result of the well-intententioned setting-up of 37 base stations in rural areas to reduce the digital divide between the urban and rural populace, Transport and Communication Minister Mr Christopher Mushohwe said last week. NetOne mobile phone users have, since mid last year, been complaining that the network is no longer reliable, particularly in the mornings and on Fridays.
