Like many of Sir Richard Branson’s enterprises, Virgin Money has been launched in South Africa just one week after the launch of Virgin Mobile.
Virgin Money essentially offers permanent South African residents who earn over R2,500 (about USD 360) a Mastercard credit card.
Users can use the card to pay at stores in South Africa, and withdraw funds from Mastercard-marked ATMs across South Africa and the rest of the world.
Virgin Money has partnered with ABSA (a South African bank) and offers users flexible means of trnsfering funds to their credit card account, inclduing Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
