Djezzy Becomes Third Largest Mobile Operator in Africa

According to Al-Bayan newspaper (November 20, 2005), Djezzy, the Algerian mobile phone operator owned by the Egyptian Orascom Telecom, has become the third largest mobile phone operator in Africa. Hassan Kabbani, CEO of Orascom Telecom Algeria, said that only two operators in Africa, one South African and the other Nigerian, are now larger than Djezzy.
