The 5th edition of Big Brother Africa tagged Big Brother All Stars starts tonight at 1700GMT.

M- Net made a dramatic announcement confirming that the show is set to be a fully fledged ALL STARS version, featuring some of the most unforgettable, outspoken, entertaining previous housemates.

Big Brother All Stars will see 14 housemates from 14 African countries come together to compete 24/7 for 91 days in the search for the ultimate winner prize – USD 200 000, watched by audiences on DStv channel 198.

The Big Brother Africa 5 housemates in the order they entered:

Mwisho from Tanzania
Jennifer from Mozambique
Paloma – Zambia
Munya – Zimbabwe
Code – Malawi
Sheila from Kenya
Yacob from Ethiopia

I am sorry this is unacceptable to me, while I wholly sympathise with Uti given the tragedy that has befallen him, it is not fair to the other hm to have Uti come back when Jen was not allowed the same privilege last year. Whether he is escorted by a chaperone or not, is not on, cause when his mother and relatives take him to the side and in the privacy of their bedrooms, is the chaperone going to be privy to the conversations that will take place threin. Will the escort be knowledgeable with the local lingo? If Uti decides to leave, he should not return to the game. He is going to win this game through the sympathy vote.
Secondly, why are the evicted housemates allowed to nominate other hm when they have been evicted. So the evictees have more privileges than those who earned their place in the house.
this bb is the least exciting. Keep it PLAIN AND SIMPLE. All these frills are BOR———ING

Quite frankly the bb all stars is a disaster for the following reasons
a) to bring back h/m from previous bbs was a disaster because many of them, esp from last year are still very fresh in my mind.Bringing old hh mates has also done away with the excitement, anxiety, uncertainty felt by fresh hh.There is very little effort on the hm part because they are familiar with the drill
b) the tasks are lousy and not properly thought through e.g how does watching people knit make me want to watch the show.Its not viewer friendly
c) inviting lousy guests into the house is another nonstarter.They add nothing to the excitement of the show.What value have Juliet added and Hannington’s motheradded to the show. When ones mother is around what you do and say is restricted. Now Hannington feels inhibited. What has bb achieved.
c) the idea of the barn is another fiasco. Its boring and uneventful money was spent on a useless annexe when the money could have been used on exciting tasks, sin bin and sending losers home
d)why should I spend money sms-ing to vote out someone only to be told that the person is still in the game. While the bms ‘peep’ into the main house we spend ‘hours’ watching people watching tv. lets get real.
e) no sin bin
I hope you can see that your viewership and sunday show attendance has dropped
Solutions
a) keep the game simple like it was during Mwisho’s time
b) the sin bin was one of the biggest crowd pullers cause it was exciting. We want the sin bin of Mwisho’s bb. The sin bin that you have now is ridiculous
c) clearly you are penny pinching which is why you are keeping the evicted hm. its too costly to send these kids home and bring them back in two months time. The barn thing is not working at all. why not skip 2/3 years and think things through properly.
d) bring intelligent people like in Mwisho’s group. Tell me what is exciting about Munya,Uti etc except that Uti is stupid, ignorant offensive and a loud thick head
e) the tasks could be very exciting, I have ideas about what these kids could do, but they are not free.
