Liquid C2 is adding security awareness training and phishing simulations to its enterprise cybersecurity portfolio, arguing that employees are an organisation’s first line of defence against attack.
Pan-African technology group Cassava Technologies announced on 13 October 2026 in Johannesburg, South Africa, that its cloud and cybersecurity business had signed a reseller agreement with workforce security company KnowBe4. Under the deal, Liquid C2 will sell KnowBe4’s training and risk management tools to enterprise customers across Africa.
What KnowBe4 adds to Secure360
KnowBe4 becomes part of Secure360, the integrated security framework Liquid used to launch cloud and cybersecurity services in Botswana in May. Secure360 covers governance, protection, detection and response, and the new partnership extends it to risks that originate with staff rather than systems.
Beyond awareness training, the KnowBe4 platform includes attack simulation, email and collaboration security, and agent security powered by its Artificial Intelligence Defence Agents (AIDA). KnowBe4 says more than 70,000 organisations worldwide use its platform.
Aimed at regulated sectors
Liquid C2 said the service will be open to small, mid-sized and large enterprises across Africa, with tailored benefits for regulated sectors such as finance, telecoms and government. Customers will get local billing, regional support, onboarding and industry-specific compliance assistance.
KnowBe4 will also be bundled with other Liquid C2 services, including managed cybersecurity, which is available within the company’s Governance, Risk and Compliance offering. Liquid C2 said this lets organisations fold the tools into the security environments they already run.
The human side of security
“Employees need the skills and awareness to spot threats early, and by working with KnowBe4, we are strengthening the human side of our cybersecurity services,” said Vinay Hiralall, chief commercial officer at Liquid C2. “Cybersecurity is no longer just a compliance exercise, it is a business continuity imperative.”
“We look forward to working with Liquid C2 to deliver KnowBe4’s platform to even more organisations across Africa,” said Kurt Mills, senior vice-president of global channel at KnowBe4. He said the aim was to help customers “build a security-conscious culture and significantly reduce their human and agentic AI-related security risks.”
A run of partnerships for Liquid C2
The agreement follows a series of global vendor tie-ups for the Cassava group this year. In June, Liquid C2 reached gold status in Google’s Verified Peering Provider programme, and in July Cassava’s Africa Data Centres business made Johannesburg the first Azure ExpressRoute Metro location in Africa.
Liquid C2 did not disclose pricing or name the first markets where the KnowBe4 services will be available.
