Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, and I love it.
Recently, Wikipedia was declared as being “… as good as Encyclopaedia Britannica” bringing to fore a brilliant effort by its founder Jimmy Wales.
Though Wikipedia has been bedeviled by unscrupulous individuals in recent times, who have made an occupation out of bending facts in the online encyclopaedia, it has become increasing popular among the regular web users like me.
Its biggest feature is its biggest problem; open-source editing. The fact that Wikipedia can be (mis)edited by any individual makes it prone to abuse. There have been mesaures in recent times to tighten security by limiting new entries to only registered members.
Its indepth coverage of hundreds of thousands of topics is worth commendation. Its timeliness breath-taking.
