Treasureline Interlink Limited is one of the “wonder banks” in Nigeria, promising unusually high returns on investments. Apparently, not only civilians invest in these HYIP schemes, but soldiers and police men/women alike. According to a story by TheNews, some soldiers insensed by the fact that their “investments” had disappeared into thing air, stormed the offices of Treasureline Interlink Ltd:
More than 50 Soldiers and mobile policemen yesterday stormed the office of another wonder bank, Treasureline Interlink Limited, situated at Divine Favour Complex, another miracle bank, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Oyo State, to collect their money while a director of one of the miracle banks has been arrested.
On arrival, the soldiers found out that the management and staff of the company had ran away as they met the offices locked. The offices looked as if they had been deserted for a long period.
The soldiers, who came in a truck from 2nd Mechanized Division, Ibadan, were seen singing war songs, asking to be paid their money.
The bubble is bursting and the MD of TreasureLine Interlink has been arrested by the Police.
The Oyo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Miss Okunwobi Olabisi, disclosed that the command was trying to rescue people from these fraudsters, stressing that the Managing Director of one of the wonder banks, Mr. Ileura Peter O. has been arrested in connection with the incident.
One thing I am sure of is this, the worst is yet to come.
